We plan trips with real hotels, drivers, and boat operators who hold space for you — that's why refunds depend on how far ahead you cancel. Here's exactly how it works.
Custom trips
Your proposal shows your cancellation schedule.It's stated before you pay anything. Unless your proposal says otherwise, this is the standard schedule:

- How to cancel: email us at the address on your proposal or trip page. The date we receive your email is your cancellation date.
- How refunds are paid:to your original payment method — card refunds via Stripe, bank-transfer refunds via bank transfer — within 10 business days of our confirmation. Card processing fees are non-refundable.
- Changing instead of cancelling:dates, hotels, and activities can often be adjusted — usually at just the supplier's change cost. If your plans wobble, talk to us before cancelling; a moved trip almost always beats a lost one.
- If we cancel (not because of non-payment): full refund, including fees.
- No-shows and unused services(skipped hotel nights, missed activities, early departure) are not refundable — suppliers have already been paid for them.
Experiences (day tours & activities)
Each experience listing shows its own cancellation policy before you book, and your voucher includes a cancellation link.
- Cancel within the listing's free-cancellation window: full refund, automatically, to your card within 5–10 business days.
- Cancel after the window: per the listing's policy.
- If the operator cancels— weather, sea conditions, minimum group size, safety — you get a full refund including all fees, no action needed.
Travel insurance
Our cancellation terms can't cover everything life throws at a trip — illness, family emergencies, flight cancellations. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every traveler. It's inexpensive relative to a trip and covers the gaps no operator's policy can.
